Camper Van Hire Glastonbury

Camper van hire for the Glastonbury Festival turned out to be very popular last year. Most campervan hire companies don’t like music festivals, but Motorholme do not mind. Hiring a campervan for the festival is quite a cool move as it means you have somewhere to keep all your valuables and you can guarantee getting away from the rain if the weather turns nasty. There’s an extra charge for camper vans on top of the ticket price but it is well worth it for the comfort and security.

It is worth noting however that the Glastonbury 2009 tickets are now sold out, the site says “On one of the coldest – and snowiest! – days of the year, Glastonbury Festival is delighted to announce that tickets for this summer’s event have now sold out.  Says Emily Eavis: “We’re chuffed to bits that we’ve managed to sell so many tickets so far ahead, especially when you look at the weather outside.

“Thanks to everyone for keeping the faith,  it’s certainly shaping up to be another vintage year for Glastonbury Festival, with a brilliant line up to be unveiled in June.”

The Festival launched its acclaimed deposit scheme for the early sale of tickets in October 2008, with the vast majority of festival-goers completing their full payment by the deadline of February 1.

Separate fields to park campervans and caravans are available adjacent to the Festival site – within a couple of hundred yards from the fence.

A campervan/caravan ticket must be purchased in advance to allow access into the campervan/caravan area, and each person entering this area must be a weekend Festival ticket holder.

These designated areas of the site are the only places where ticket holders can sleep in vehicles – and these vehicles will only be allowed in the fields if they have living accommodation with fitted sleeping facilities and either fitted cooking or washing facilities.
