Camper Rentals

The first time I looked into camper rentals for a holiday, was when I was about 24 years old. My main vehicle was a Datsun Cherry 100a that I had bought for £75, and my more reliable ‘vehicle’ was my bicycle. Neither of these were the ideal vehicle for my ‘newly acquired’ girlfriend and I to take a holiday in, so I looked at a small motorhome hire company in London near where I worked.

The vehicle I got was a 1988 Volkswagen Type 2 camper. There was a very shady deal done to rent it and I was never convinced it was actually insured for me to drive it!

Anyway, we took it to Sandown in the Isle of Wight and had a really cool holiday. On the way back, the brake pedal started to stick down everytime I used it and the sheer lack of power was frustrating to say the least.
