Last weekend there were lots of rumours flying about on Twitter and Facebook about T in The Park being cancelled, don’t worry this is not true at all. The rumours came about after the dreadful weather last week in the UK and it was looking like T in The Park was going to be a washout and that there was a possibility of the festival being cancelled. This is simply not true and in fact the wether is now looking a bit perkier now, but not perfect. If you have hired a campervan for the festival, you might still get a bit soggy on Saturday, but at least you will have a nice warm cosy bed to snuggle up in when the night is over.
Weatherman Sean Batty said yesterday “The weather front we were looking at yesterday is now to the south of us, however it does come our way for Saturday, still the possibility of some quite heavy rain and showers at times and we still have to watch out for the possibility of localised flooding and still a little bit of a mud fest as well…For Friday itself it’s a case of bright spells and a scattering of showers as well and you will have noticed if you are in Scotland at the moment that the air is quite muggy, quite heavy out there”.
The rain starts to come in during Friday and it looks like it is going to push it’s way North with heavy rain coming in off The North Sea, so we are looking at some periods of heavy rain on Saturday. By this time the damage will be done and it will be a muddy festival. It does look like it will ease up on Sunday though.
So there you go, if you are going to T in The Park this year, have a great time and don’t let the rain spoil your fun too much. If you are going with a tent, maybe next time think about renting a motorhome.
