Winter Motorhoming

Have you ever considered taking a motorhome away in winter?

Winter motorhoming is much more pleasant than you might think.

Perhaps you have considered skiing in France and staying at Aires or car parks close to ski lifts. When you arrive at ski lifts across ski resorts in Europe you will often see motorhomes with their participants disembarking for the day. Many may have parked there overnight for a small fee. Or if you prefer a camp site most will have drying rooms for your wet ski gear to make sure it is ready for you the next day.

Or perhaps you have thought about going to Europe to see some of the Christmas markets in Cologne, Bruges or Lille to mention just a few. Your motorhome is a great way to see a number of places over a few days.

Often you don’t need to make any special provision for winter motorhoming, many motorhomes are well heated and well insulated. Although my motorhome has external water tanks for freshwater and grey water we have camped in freezing conditions and not had any problems either feeling the cold or with water freezing.
